Is my account active?

If you do have a booking, there is a 99.9% chance that there is a small typo in the details. Only the first 16 letters and numbers should be entered, the numbers after the space are not part of your driving license number.

Do I need to already have booked a test with the DVSA? Why?
Yes. In order to ensure we can update your test to a cancellation within minutes, we need you to have already paid the £62 test fee to the DVSA. We cannot pay this on your behalf.
How do I book a test? There is no availability!

The "on hold" method
While our system works 100% if your test is "on hold", as of June 2021 the DVSA is requesting candidates not to book these types of tests. But they are still possible to book.

- Use postcode "AB10" when booking a test.
- Keep clicking "show more centres" until one shows up
- Book any test where you see availability. It does not matter how far away it is from you.
- Pay for this test
- Go to "my account" and provide the test details. Enter the real test centres and date range you want and we will find you an earlier, local, cancellation at your chosen centres. Where your test is currently booked as no impact on finding you cancellations.

- When requested to select a test centre, pick any and when it shows no availability then go to the bottom of the page and there will be a button to book a test "on hold"
- Pay for this test
- Go to "my account" and provide the test details. Enter the real test centres and date range you want and we will find you an earlier, local, cancellation at your chosen centres. Where your test is currently booked as no impact on finding you cancellations.
My test details are valid. Why do you keep saying they are not valid?
There will be a small typo in your details. Please try the following:
If you can login, confirm the "change" button is working. Click change, then enter "AB10" as the postcode. For a small number of tests, you will get a "search error" 100% of the time so you cannot search. In this case, please cancel (and refund) your test then book a new one. Apologies for the inconvenience.

How will I be notified of cancellations?
As you have selected auto book, we will email you once we book you into a new test.
The DVSA will also email you once your test is changed, though sometimes these get lost or end up in spam.

What is the average amount of time to find a cancellation?
There is no average because it depends on the number of centres you choose, the part of the country, your instructors availability, how many hours of the day and how many days you are available for. Additionally it depends how far ahead you look: most cancellations appear 1-4 weeks away so if you are looking 2-3+ months away it would take longer to find one, for example.
My test is on hold, can I use it with this service?
Yes! Tests that are on hold work 100% perfectly with our system.
If I turn on the search, will I lose my current booking?
No. We only change your booking as part of booking a new cancellation.

I got an email for cancellation but no text message
We have a primary and secondary text messaging provider. You are currently using our primary provider.
To see which provider is best for you, please send the word "TEST" to the following two numbers:

The provider that provides a code the quicker will be the best choice for you. To change providers, please email [email protected] letting us know you want primary or secondary and we will get your acount updated.

How can I add my instructors ADI number so they are not double booked?
ADI numbers needed to be added directly on the booking with DVSA. Please do so on this website: https://driverpracticaltest.dvsa.gov.uk/login
Can I cancel my account for a refund?
Yes, provided you have given us at least 3 weeks to search for cancellations for you and we have not offered a single cancellations that meets your requirements.
Refunds in any other case are not possible. If you've not given us a valid booking, you can retain the link to use if you fail your test or gift it to a family member or friend.

How long will it take to find me a cancellation?
Cancellations depend on other students cancelling a test that meets your exact criteria, so there are no average times or predications that can be made as every profile is unique. However the bigger your date range, the more centres you are open to will mean you see more cancellations, more often.
